Description
A doodle in photoshop after a few month hiatus from painting.Well, it started as a doodle and then took on a much deeper meaning to me as I continued the journey. I am not going to give any personal interpretations as I would prefer anyone to see what they want or NEED to see.
Enjoy and thanks to all of you for all the wonderful and inspirational artwork here.

i love the little blue flower there, and the various other symbols. always enjoy a piece that allows you to dig deeper.
you typed in your description that you prefer that we find our own meanin in the artwork, i figured i'd type down what i see in it.
as i see it, the image is about the state of confusion and total deception. i keep thinking about the shallowness of certain things like fame and fortune, the feeling that you're falling deeper and deeper even when it seems like you should feel like you're on top of the world. that to me justifies why the person's on top of the isolated island with the cut off staircase so she can't regain contact to the rest of the world.
on one side she has a demonic face hovering above her, on the other side a menacing sea of a million halos, representing the two extremes; both sides of fame, and again she's stuck in the middle as the composition suggests. the door to her 'island' being a face with a gaping mouth suggests how that world eats up genuine souls and the path of lights that leads up to it reminds me of how many people wish they were in her stead, perhaps not fully understanding what it means. and the little blue flower seems like an ironic sign of hope, perhaps a single companion in her life who cannot do anything to get her out of that situation anyway.
that was just my take on it
all in all a very inspiring piece
